Jaylen Waddle leaves Neyland Stadium in ambulance following injury

This is tough to see.

During the first play of the Tennessee game, Jaylen Waddle injured his ankle on the opening kickoff.

While the outstanding Alabama receiver was clearly hurt on the play, he managed to get off the field on his own power before immediately being taken back to the locker room.

By the end of the first quarter, Waddle was spotted leaving Neyland Stadium in an ambulance.

It’s unclear what occurred that called for an ambulance but we’ll certainly monitor Waddle’s status as more information becomes available.
