Jayvant Brown, 4-star LB out of Florida, flips from Michigan State to SEC signing

Jayvant Brown, a 4-star linebacker out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida (St. Thomas Aquinas), has announced he’s signed to play in the SEC.
Brown, an All-American Bowl selection who is listed at 6-foot and 220 pounds, signed with Kentucky after he had a reported 27 offers. He was committed to Michigan State since Nov. 13, but decommitted on Sunday.
Brown’s offers included Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Ohio State, Michigan and Notre Dame. He is ranked No. 397 overall and the No. 30 linebacker in the 2023 class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
Brown is a former running back who switched to linebacker at one of South Florida’s top talent-producing programs which has stocked SEC rosters for years.
