Jeff Lebby announced 4-of-5 starters for Oklahoma’s offensive line during the team’s media day on Tuesday morning.

According to Lebby, who is entering Year 2 as OU’s offensive coordinator, every position is settled except for left guard.

Walter Rouse is expected to get the nod at left tackle. Andrew Raym, McKade Mettauer and Tyler Guyton are the starters at center, right guard and right tackle, respectively.

As for left guard, Oklahoma has multiple options. The Sooners return Savion Byrd, who started at left guard in OU’s bowl game loss to Florida State last season but mostly played as a reserve in 2022.

OU also added a potential starter via the portal in Miami (OH) transfer Caleb Shaffer. He started 35 games for that program over the past 4 years, with the majority of his snaps coming at left guard.

Raym, Mettauer and Guyton all return from last year’s team. Rouse is a new addition via the transfer portal and comes to Norman via Stanford. He made 39 starts over 4 seasons for the Cardinal.

Oklahoma opens the 2023 season against Arkansas State on Sept. 2.
