Jeffery Rush Jr., 4-star DL from Mississippi, announces SEC commitment

Ole Miss football landed a new commitment on Saturday, adding four-star defensive lineman Jeffrey Rush Jr., who is a native of the Magnolia State. According to 247Sports, the Class of 2024 standout prospect is the No. 9 defensive lineman in the nation, the 61 overall prospect in the nation and the No. 3 overall prospect in the state of Mississippi.

Around the same time that Rush made his announcement, Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin took to Twitter with a hilarious big fish gif.

Kiffin has been well-known for his success on the recruiting trail with a knack for taking some of the best players out of the transfer portal and bringing them over to Oxford. Defensive consistency has been an issue for Ole Miss over recent times, so it will be interesting to see how Rush can help address that in the future.
