The future is bright on Rocky Top for the first time in a long time.

After starting out 0-2 on the season, Tennessee finished strong and went out on an incredible six-game winning streak to close the final chapter on Jeremy Pruitt’s second season on Rocky Top.

If you haven’t heard by now, among Power 5 conference teams, only LSU and Clemson currently have longer winning streaks than the Vols.

That’s likely going to be a rallying cry all offseason for Vol Nation but Pruitt took things up a notch following Tennessee’s comeback win over Indiana in the Gator Bowl, as the coach promised his players that this decade will be the decade of the Vols.

“Every ball game, the last six games now, there’s been all kinds of adversity, all kinds of adversity — some of it, we created ourselves,” Pruitt says in the clip below. “Some of it was inflicted by the other team, okay. But in six straight games, in six straight games, you found a way. You found a way. What did I tell you? This decade is going to be the decade of the Vols. You got me?”

After a long wait, it may finally be time for Tennessee fans to feel confident about the future of their program with Pruitt leading it in this new decade.
