Jeremy Pruitt names starting QB for Tennessee’s Week 7 game vs. Mississippi State

The Tennessee Volunteers will host the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday in a game that many Vol supporters will want to see improvement.
So, the big question is about who will start at quarterback — Jarrett Guarantano or Brian Maurer? On Wednesday after practice, coach Jeremy Pruitt officially named a starter.
Per Pruitt, Maurer will once again be the starter after he got the nod last weekend against Georgia:

Maurer finished the Georgia game 14-for-28 passing with 259 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. However, Guarantano also made an appearance in that game.
Will Maurer continue to play well? We’ll find out starting on Saturday afternoon at Neyland Stadium.
