Jeremy Pruitt confirms Tennessee’s football program has not had any players test positive for Covid-19

According to Jeremy Pruitt, Tennessee has been far more fortunate than many others around the nation when it comes to positive Covid-19 cases.
During a Wednesday morning appearance on “The Dan Patrick Show,” the Volunteer coach was asked if he was allowed to discuss the testing results of his players.
Without naming any individual names, Pruitt revealed that his program has not seen a single player test positive for Covid-19.
“With all the players that we’ve had in here, that we’ve tested, we have zero positive tests with the guys we’ve tested,” Pruitt said on the show.
The Tennessee coach was then asked how often his players get tested. According to Pruitt, the next time the Volunteers will be tested is when they return from the holiday weekend that’s coming up.
“That will be up to our medical staff,” Pruitt added. “Our guys are going out for a three-day weekend this weekend, and so, they’ll have a plan when they come back to get everybody within our program tested and we’ll start over.”
One other comment of note for Tennessee fans, when asked when full-contact practice begins for the Vols, Pruitt shared that fall camp in Knoxville is set to begin on Aug. 7. The first full-contact practice will take place a few days after that date, according to the Tennessee coach.
