Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines upset the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes Saturday 42-27. The Buckeyes are officially out of the College Football Playoff race at the hands of their biggest rival.
Harbaugh’s record against Ohio State improved Saturday to 1-5.
Following the Wolverines win over the Buckeyes, Harbaugh took a shot at Ryan Day and the program he inherited at Ohio State during his postgame press conference.
“Some people were born on third and think they hit a triple,” Harbaugh said about Day.
Urban Meyer dominated Ohio State, and when Meyer stepped down in Columbus, Day was hired to replace Meyer. Day inherited arguably the top program in America loaded with talent.
So, Harbaugh made sure to point out that Day was born on third base and thought he hit a triple.
That will surely fire up Ohio State for future matchups. For now, however, Michigan is going to let the Buckeyes hear it all year long.
