The Gators have lost some depth on the offensive line as head coach Jim McElwain announced during his Monday press conference that redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Brandon Sandifer is no longer with the program. No specific reason was given at this time for his departure.

Sandifer played in two games last season for the Gators after redshirting his first season in Gainesville.

A native of Warner Robins, Ga., Sandifer was a three-star recruit in the Gators 2015 recruiting class. His senior season of high school football, Sandifer’s school won the Class AAAAA state championship and he was honored as a Class AAAAA All-State First-Team member for his accomplishments.
