The SEC announced the Florida-LSU game would be moved to Baton Rouge late Thursday afternoon. While McElwain is done with his scheduled press opportunities for the week until Saturday, he does host his weekly radio show on Thursday nights.
He addressed the new date and location in the opening of his show:
"We're disappointed we lost this home game … and yet it doesn't matter. We'll go out in the parking lot." — Jim McElwain #Gators

McElwain and Gators players have pushed back all week against the notions that they were scared to play LSU and hiding behind Hurricane Matthew to avoid playing the game as it was originally scheduled on Oct. 8. The conspiracy theory was aided by Florida’s lengthy injury report announced on Oct. 3, which included injuries to the starting defensive line as well as a questionable status for previously injured QB Luke Del Rio.
The second-year coach previously addressed the chatter on social media and other forms of mass media Wednesday after practice.
“I don’t know what they talked about because they should be worried about Missouri because that’s the only thing we can control,” McElwain said. “As I said before, I’ll go play them anywhere. I don’t get where all this is coming from. The one thing we never do is back down, and if you understand the circumstances you understand what occurred, I get it. But to ever think we wouldn’t play them anywhere, that’s ridiculous.”
