Jim McElwain gives media a ‘bye week,’ updates several injuries

Florida coach Jim McElwain announced he will close practice to the media this week during his press conference Monday. The coach claimed he was giving media members a “bye week” before Saturday’s game against Tennessee.

McElwain also provided an update on injured quarterback Luke Del Rio, who he claimed had a “bum leg” and is expected to return at an undetermined date in the future.

McElwain also provided injury updates on several other players including leading receiver Antonio Callaway and linebacker Kylan Johnson, who will sit out Monday due to a leg injury and offensive lineman Tyler Jordan, who is expected to miss Saturday’s game.
