It appears the credit card scandal involving a number of Florida football players is headed towards a resolution.
It was reported Thursday that Gators receiver Antonio Callaway has entered a pre-trial intervention agreement. The agreement, if finalized, would dismiss the felony charges. Other players may also qualify for a similar intervention.
There is still a ways to go until anything is finalized, but this could be a huge step in the players being cleared to return from suspension. The Gators are set to take on No. 3 Georgia this weekend, but it remains a long shot that any of the suspended players would be cleared in time for that game.
With speculation rising surrounding the updates, Florida head coach Jim McElwain released a statement Thursday regarding the suspended players.
