Jimbo Fisher called ‘gutless’ for overly conservative 4th down decision: ‘Scared coaching’

Jimbo Fisher did not impress the Texas A&M fan base by his decision to punt on 4th down and 1 from the Alabama 45-yard line in the 3rd quarter.

Fisher was torched by Aggie fans who called him “gutless” and said that strategy is “scared coaching.”

Once Alabama got the ball back and went 80 yards across 6 plays to take a 24-17 only irritated fans already incensed with the conservative decision.

Alabama got 14 points and a key interception from Caleb Downs in the 3rd quarter alone. Meanwhile, the last 3 Aggie possessions ended with a punt, interception and a run-out-the-clock conservative choice to close the 1st half.
