Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M will face off against one of the most talented quarterbacks this weekend in Jaxson Dart.
The Rebels quarterback has racked up 2,080 yards and 14 touchdowns through the air this year and has also picked up 326 yards and 7 touchdowns on the ground.
Ahead of the matchup on Saturday, Fisher offered his thoughts and impression of Dart so far this season.
“Playmaker, first thing I think of,” Fisher said in his press conference Monday. “Can throw it, has a very strong arm, can get the ball down the field, gets the shot plays where they need to get to. He can improvise and run, and then they have planned quarterback runs off of it too, whether it’s cheat runs, runs up inside and then he can run in between the tackles or outside. A very gifted guy and a lot of ability.”
Texas A&M is looking for an upset win over Ole Miss, but the Rebels are hitting their stride at the right time and looking to make a late-season push for an SEC West title. Ole Miss can’t afford a loss, so it will be bringing its A-game.
