Joe Burrow may not survive the season if the Bengals can’t protect franchise QB better than this

All eyes are on Bengals rookie quarterback Joe Burrow, who set the college football world on fire last year after a historic offensive performance at LSU that ended with a national championship and the Heisman Trophy.

If Cincinnati’s offensive line can’t get him some better protection, though, his 1st season won’t last longer than a few games.

During the Bengals’ game at the Philadelphia Eagles, Burrow sustained a massive hit from defensive tackle Malik Jackson, a former All-SEC 2nd team pick with Tennessee.

Burrow, though, showed his toughness and was able to promptly return to the contest. That being said, it’s tough for anyone to take hits like that, much less someone in his 1st NFL season.

For the sake of the Athens, Ohio native’s well-being and career, though, let’s hope that his offensive line can get him some better protection moving forward. Meanwhile, it’s been a slow start to the season for Cincinnati, who were 0-2 coming into this game against the Eagles in Philadelphia.
