Joe Burrow is the biggest sports celebrity going these days in Cincinnati, and the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback took part in a holiday in that city on Tuesday.

Before the Cincinnati Reds’ home opener against the Cleveland Guardians, Burrow threw out the ceremonial first pitch with his head coach, Zac Taylor, serving as the catcher on a pitch that was high and over the plate. Former LSU star Ja’Marr Chase was also on hand for the pregame festivities.

Burrow has lived up to what Bengals fans hoped he would as the No. 1 overall draft pick, as he led the franchise to the Super Bowl this past season, only to fall to the Los Angeles Rams.

Burrow went from No. 1 overall pick to starting QB in the Super Bowl faster than anyone else by getting to the big game in his second season. To get to the Super Bowl, Burrow threw 15 TD passes and just 2 INTs in his previous 7 games, and averaged 331.1 yards passing per game.
