Joe Burrow responds to question of who would win game between his 2019 LSU team and 2020 Alabama team

Alabama polished off an undefeated season on Monday with its win over Ohio State in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
From beginning to end, it was a dominant 2020 for the Crimson Tide, led by an electrifying offense helmed by Mac Jones, Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith that was held below 40 points only twice and rattled off 7 games of 50 points or more. It’s a team that will be looked upon by some as certainly the greatest in the history of the program, if not one of the greatest in the history of college football as a whole.
Alabama’s explosive offensive performances came a year after Joe Burrow and LSU put together an impressive season of their own, breaking several records and cruising through a 15-0 campaign that ended with them hoisting the championship trophy in New Orleans.
On Tuesday, Burrow was asked the question that may have been on the minds of many: if his LSU team were to play this year’s Alabama team, who would come out on top?
“I think everyone knows the answer to that question,” the Bengals quarterback and 2019 Heisman Trophy winner responded with a smile. “Everybody knows what I’m going to say. I don’t even have to say it.”

We’ll obviously never know the outcome of such a matchup, but it’s a fun topic to ponder and will likely be a major point of debate for years to come.
