The first play of the second half for LSU was a quarterback run.
Joe Burrow took the snap, and he absolutely trucked the official during his 15-yard run. Not even referees are safe from the likely Heisman Trophy winner in 2019. He’s taking down everyone in his path.
Burrow brought the hammer with this one:

Burrow’s had a fabulous night and has further locked up the Heisman Trophy. The LSU quarterback is currently 25-of-29 for 334 yards and three touchdowns. With LSU’s lead at 31-15 — and assuming it scores again, it’s questionable how long the Tigers will leave in Burrow, especially given what happened to Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa earlier Saturday.
Thankfully, the official appears to be fine after getting trucked by the LSU quarterback.
