Joe Lunardi says there’s a lot on the line when Alabama and Auburn meet in Tuscaloosa on Wednesday night.

In addition to bragging rights, both teams have something to play for. According to Lunardi, the Crimson Tide would be in danger of losing the No. 1 overall seed to Kansas if it loses at home to Auburn.

The Tigers, meanwhile, are trying to hang on to their place on the right side of the bubble. A loss could push them to “last four in” status in Lunardi’s bracket.

Here’s his analysis for Wednesday’s slate of games:

Alabama is seeking its 1st No. 1 seed in program history. The Tide have been a No. 2 seed on a number of occasions, but have never featured on the top line of the bracket.

Auburn is looking to make the NCAA Tournament for the 2nd straight season and for the 4th time under head coach Bruce Pearl.

The Crimson Tide defeated Auburn on the road earlier this season. Alabama has won 3 of the last 5 meetings in this series.

Tipoff is at 7:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday night.
