Joe Lunardi names Alabama the No. 1 overall seed in latest bracketology projection
Joe Lunardi, for the 1st time this season, has put Alabama into the No. 1 overall spot on his projected bracket.
Lunardi released his latest bracketology update on Tuesday morning. The Crimson Tide now have the No. 1 overall spot, surpassing a Purdue team that has lost 2 of its last 3 games.
Lunardi also went on Twitter to share his thoughts on the Crimson Tide.
Opening the tournament in Birmingham would go from "likely" to "lock," along with presumably the South Regional in Louisville. In other words, the school's first Final Four appearance just got another step closer.

Alabama is 22-3 overall this season and remains undefeated in SEC play. The Tide’s only loss since Christmas came on the road against Oklahoma back in January.
Alabama is also the No. 1 overall team in the latest AP Top 25 poll. This is just the 2nd season in program history that Alabama has reached No. 1 in the AP Poll.
The Crimson Tide are in the midst of perhaps their best season in program history. They have never been a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Alabama will look to continue its winning streak in Knoxville on Wednesday.
