Joe Moorhead reveals Mississippi State WR not with team in Tampa

Mississippi State is healthy and Bulldogs players are academically eligible, but one MSU wide receiver isn’t with the team in Tampa.
Joe Moorhead revealed that Keith Mixon did not make the trip to the Sunshine State due to personal reasons. The Bulldogs arrived in Tampa Thursday ahead of next Tuesday’s Outback Bowl game against Iowa.
A redshirt junior from Birmingham, Ala., Mixon appeared in eight games this season recording 10 catches for 137 yards and two touchdowns. In MSU’s season finale, the Egg Bowl, he logged two catches for 19 yards. Mixon is sixth on the team in receiving yards.
