Joel Klatt has updated his personal top 10 rankings following Week 8 action in college football.
Klatt has a new No. 1 this week with Oregon taking the top spot. The Ducks claimed the No. 1 ranking following Texas’s home loss to Georgia over the weekend. The Bulldogs also jumped up to No. 2 as a result of that performance.
Ohio State and Penn State both retained top-5 spots this week as well. Texas slipped to No. 5 following its loss to UGA.
LSU jumped ahead of Clemson this week for the No. 6 spot as a result of its dominant win over Arkansas. Tennessee was the other big mover up the board, landing at No. 8 after just missing out on a top-10 ranking this weekend.
Indiana — who was previously not on Klatt’s list — and Miami round out his top 10 for the week:

Alabama just missed the cut after its narrow loss to Tennessee in Knoxville over the weekend. The Crimson Tide now have 2 losses on the season and may be on the outside-looking-in of the College Football Playoff conversation.
As for Klatt’s top 10, the SEC and Big Ten each have 4 teams included this week. The ACC is responsible for the other 2 slots while the Big 12 doesn’t have any representatives following Week 8.
