Joel Klatt shares updated top-10 ranking after Week 9, includes 4 SEC teams

The final month of the 2025 college football regular season is almost here, and the College Football Playoff field will be decided over these next few weeks of play, leading into conference championship weekend.
There are a number of contenders from the nation’s top conferences all still firmly in the mix for the 12 playoff spots up for grabs, and each of them has a path to hearing their name called on selection Sunday.
Fox college football analyst Joel Klatt recently unveiled his top 10 teams heading into Week 10, and his rankings featured several of the SEC’s best programs so far in 2025.

Klatt has a couple of Big Ten powers occupying the first 2 slots in his rankings, with the Ohio State Buckeyes at No. 1 and the Indiana Hoosiers at No. 2. After that, Klatt has 3 SEC squads in a row in slots 3 through 5 in Texas A&M, Alabama and Georgia.
Following this, Klatt has the Oregon Ducks at No. 6 and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at No. 7, with the Ole Miss Rebels coming in at No. 8 as the final SEC team in his top 10.
Finally, Klatt has the Miami Hurricanes slotted in as his No. 9-ranked team, and the BYU Cougars wrapping things up in the No. 10 spot.
