Don’t laugh. Joey Aguilar is absolutely cooking Georgia’s defense early at Neyland Stadium, and people from around the country are starting to take notice.

The Vols QB has now led 3 touchdown drives against the No. 6 Bulldogs, sitting at 14/15 passing with 213 yards and 2 passing touchdowns, as well as 1 rushing touchdown. His only incompletion of the day was a throwaway with no receivers open.

As mentioned earlier, Aguilar is genuinely looking like a Heisman candidate. There’s still a lot of football left to be played, but Aguilar has looked calm and collected with sizzling accuracy. Truth be told, it’s hard to imagine a better start for the Vols offense under Aguilar.

If you’re wondering, DraftKings currently lists Aguilar as +1400 to win the Heisman trophy.

Just a quick reminder: Aguilar started his college career at Diablo Valley Community College near San Francisco.
