John Calipari’s Kentucky squad is sliding a bit at the worst possible time. Fortunately, the head coach of the Wildcats believes the schedule is there for the team to turn things around.

During his postgame press conference after Saturday’s loss to Georgia, Calipari discussed the remaining schedule and the team’s outlook for March Madness. While things are bleak after back-to-back losses to Arkansas and Georgia, Calipari believes Kentucky will be fine if the team strings wins together down the stretch.

“All I can tell you is here’s what’s great: We got a kind of schedule that’s let’s go win games and we’ll be fine. Just gonna have to win games,” said Calipari. “There are games that we’re playing against teams that you beat those teams (and) you’re fine. Whether we’re healthy or not, we’re going to have to go at those teams and those games are going to be important games for us. But we have them, it’s not like we don’t have any other chances to go make this right, and we do.”

While Calipari is trying to pump up Kentucky’s remaining schedule, the reality is there are not many chances left to make a statement during the regular season. Of the 6 remaining games, only Tennessee and Auburn are ahead of the Wildcats in the SEC standings, and the Tigers would drop into a tie for 4th place in the conference with a loss to Alabama.

Next up for Kentucky will be a Wednesday evening road trip against Mississippi State.
