The NCAA made the unprecedented decision to cancel the 2020 basketball tournament due to the coronavirus outbreak.
John Calipari’s Kentucky Wildcats were named the SEC’s regular season champions, and he joined ESPN’s SportsCenter Thursday evening to discuss the crazy news.
The Cats head coach said he expects 4-5 Kentucky players to put their names in for the NBA Draft.
Calipari: Players learned sometimes fate intervenes in your life, some of it good, some of it bad. It’s how you deal with it that matters.

Although Calipari didn’t name any names, it should be expected that Nick Richards, Tyrese Maxey, Ashton Hagans and Immanuel Quickley will all put in for the draft.
Calipari also expressed his love for this team and lamented the fact that he won’t be able to chase a championship with his team.
“I’m really gonna miss this team. I think we could have won the national title,” UK head coach John Calipari on ESPN. “They deserved to keep playing, but you know what, stuff happens.”
