John Calipari went to Twitter Tuesday to announce that Oscar Tshiebwe was going to be missing some practice ahead of the season with “knee stuff.”
Clarification is key here. Calipari went on to write that the star forward will have a 15-minute procedure to clean some things up with his knee as a precaution.
Bad news is I kept him out of practice Sat. with knee stuff. He refused to sit out Pro Day and balled out. I made him sit out Mon. and get examined as a precaution. He’s going to have a minor 15-minute procedure to clean some things up. Not a big deal, but no dancing at Madness!

The reigning National Player of the Year is probably the most important player to any team in the SEC. His abilities on defense and ferocity around the rim are unmatched in the college game.
It’s something to monitor going forward, but according to Calipari shouldn’t be a major concern.
