John Mateer continues impressive streak with touchdowns against Temple

John Mateer has been one of the 3 most impressive quarterbacks in the SEC to start the season.
A lot of folks (including myself) thought there would be some growing pains for Mateer coming to the SEC out of Washington State. Perhaps there still will be, but the Sooners quarterback proved himself last week by leading Oklahoma to a win over a good Michigan defense. He threw for 270 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception while also rushing for 74 yards with 2 touchdowns.
With his rushing and passing touchdown against the Wolverines, Mateer carried a streak that dates back to last season at Washington State where he accounted for at least one rushing and one passing touchdown. He continued that streak into Week 3 against Temple – a streak that now sits at 9 games.
The Sooners have dominated on the ground so far in Philadelphia. Oklahoma has 180 yards rushing and 4 rushing touchdowns through 3 quarters. Mateer has accounted for 63 of those yards and one of those touchdowns.
The Wazzu transfer also delivered this ball to Xavier Robinson for 6:
Oklahoma currently leads Temple 42-3 with just over 11 minutes remaining in the 4th quarter.
