John Wayne Oliver, a 6-foot-5 and 275-pound offensive tackle out of Nashville, Tennessee (CPA), has announced a commitment to play in the SEC.

Oliver committed to Ole Miss as he has a reported 27 offers. TCU and Auburn were also in the mix for the 3-star prospect. Oliver is ranked the No. 39 offensive tackle in the Class of 2024, according to the 247Sports Composite, and the No. 13 player in the state of Tennessee. Oliver in high school played left tackle and defensive tackle.

“I made some great relationships at Ole Miss,” Oliver told The Tennessean. “I know a lot of the players there and I’ve always wanted to play in SEC and it’s four hours from home. That was important because of my family and the fact that my sister (Mary Taylor Oliver) goes to Mississippi State.”

Oliver added that several schools wanted him to play guard, but Lane Kiffin said he could play tackle and that appealed to Oliver.

Here are his highlights from Hudl:
