Johnny Juzang is going home.

The Los Angeles native announced on Thursday that he will continue his playing career at UCLA.

A former four-star recruit, Juzang signed with Kentucky over Kentucky over Kansas, Oregon and Virginia in the 2019 recruiting cycle. He played for Kentucky for just one season before announcing he was entering the NCAA transfer portal just under two weeks ago.

“What a ride. This last year at Kentucky was one of the best experiences of my life. I grew so much not only a player, but as a young man as well,” Juzang wrote when he announced his decision to leave Kentucky. “I’d like to thank all my coaches, my brothers, the trainers, the staff, BBN, and everyone who made this year so special. From the bottom of my heart, I’m going to miss this place. With lots of thought and consideration, I’ve decided to put my name into the transfer portal.”

Following a freshman season that saw Juzang appear in 28 games and average 2.9 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.3 assists, the California native is now a Bruin.
