Johnny Manziel to get first start of his CFL career on Friday vs. former team

The Montreal Alouettes recently acquired former Heisman Trophy-winning QB Johnny Manziel from the Hamilton Tiger-cats, and now they’re ready to use him in game action.
According to a tweet from the Canadian Football League, Manziel will be used for the first time against his former team.
As you can see below, the former Texas A&M star will get the start against the Tiger-cats on Friday night:

This is obviously big news for Manziel’s professional career, and now it’s up to him to make the most of it.
Manziel has shown flashes of brilliance this offseason, but now that he has his chance to shine, it’ll be exciting to see what he can do. At 1-5, the Alouettes have nothing to lose by making this move.
