Tennessee fired Butch Jones on Sunday following the Volunteers’ embarrassing 50-17 loss at Missouri.

Immediately, the talk in Knoxville turned to Jon Gruden.

Well, it intensified, anyway. There was already plenty of Gruden talk happening.

But on Monday, the sports talk airwaves were filled with questions and comments on the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Super Bowl-winning football coach.

Vegas responded accordingly, adjusting its odds after Jones’ inevitable dismissal.

BetOnline, which has been enticing Tennessee fans for a while now, stoked the GRUMORS fire again Monday when it listed Gruden at +180 to become the Vols’ next coach. The last time the odds were posted, he was at +250.

Gruden is still the legitimate favorite to land the job.

Mike Norvell, who was at +800 last time the odds came out, moved to +400 — the second-best betting option behind Gruden. Chip Kelly and Les Miles each sit at +500, while Dan Mullen’s odds improved from +800 to +600.
