A freshman for the Heisman? An SEC Network analyst believes Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins is a viable candidate for the most prestigious individual prize in college football.

The SEC Network’s Jordan Rodgers is vouching for the freshman phenom after the sensational performance by Judkins in No. 15 Ole Miss’ 31-28 win against Texas A&M.

Judkins amassed 205 yards and a touchdown on the ground during his 19th birthday, which made it even sweeter.

“Quinshon Judkins, he should be in the Heisman conversation…” Rodgers said. “He has been unbelievable.”

Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin took to the Twitter after the win to share a meme that showcases the lengths he went during the recruiting process to land Judkins.

The Alabama native has registered 1,036 yards and 13 touchdowns, with an average of 5.8 yards per carry. The 5-11, 205-pound Judkins has ran for as much as 100 yards in 6 games during his first college season.

Judkins’ 1-yard dash into the end zone with 7:18 remaining capped the scoring for Ole Miss on Saturday. Ole Miss racked up 530 total yards, while not committing a turnover.

Ole Miss will have a huge challenge this Saturday when it hosts No. 6 Alabama in a contest that will help determine the SEC West title.
