Jordan Rodgers is in Atlanta covering the SEC Media Days, where select coaches and players are all gathered talking about the upcoming season.

Last year, Georgia lost to Notre Dame in the CFP quarterfinal, as quarterback Gunner Stockton had to fill in for the injured Carson Beck.

Stockton is the guy for the Bulldogs this year, and Rodgers wants fans in the SEC to make sure they give him some respect and not to underestimate him.

“I just think people are really underestimating how talented Gunner Stockton really is,” Rodgers said. “He was behind Carson Beck who was one of the best throwers in the country, even if he had his ups and downs. He is a dual-threat guy, and he is a legit threat to run the ball.

“I did the radio call for that Sugar Bowl, he played well enough to win that game. The offensive line couldn’t block anybody, and his receivers continued to let him down over and over again. He played good enough to win that game, the rest of the team didn’t.”

In that game against Notre Dame, he was 20-of-32 for 234 yards and 1 touchdown. As Rodgers stated, the offensive line really struggled. The Irish had 4 sacks to go along with 9 tackles for loss.

Fans are hoping for Stockton will deliver in the way that Stetson Bennett once did when he led the Bulldogs to back-to-back National Championships.
