South Carolina continues to receive good news in terms of players returning to the Gamecocks for the 2022 season, and Jordan Strachan is the latest example.
Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports reported that Strachan, a senior edge rusher for the Gamecocks, is likely returning to school for another season instead of heading to the NFL, where he had Day 2 preseason draft grades. Strachan had 23 tackles and 3 sacks this past season.
The Georgia State transfer led the country in sacks in 2020 with 10.5, but when he arrived at South Carolina last spring, he battled a hamstring injury. Strachan’s news follows Zacch Pickens’ announcement earlier this week that he would return to the South Carolina defensive line in 2022.
It’s also looking likely that South Carolina senior edge defender Jordan Strachan, who had Day 2 preseason draft grades, ends up returning to school for another season instead of heading to the NFL, sources tell @on3sports.
