Kentucky LB Josh Allen took a chance on himself, forgoing the NFL Draft this April to return for his senior year with the Wildcats.

Wow, did that bet pay off. Not only are the Wildcats 7-1 and the No. 11 team in the country, Allen is also working his way up draft boards every time he takes the field.

His stats against SEC opponents alone, as noted by Bruce Feldman, prove why he should be a first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft:

Allen has been unstoppable against Kentucky’s best opponents this year, and he’s doing it both as a pass rusher and in coverage, when needed.

He’s having a great season, and as long as he continues putting up big numbers, he’ll continue his meteoric rise. As a former 2-star recruit, Allen’s rise has been incredible to watch.
