Since redshirting as a true freshman in 2017, K’Rojhn Calbert has been a valuable, versatile offensive lineman for the Tennessee Volunteers.
He’s played at both guard and tackle, seeing significant playing time in the 3 seasons since 2017.
Now, as he enters his redshirt senior season, he’s dealing with an injury that has required surgery. During a press conference on Thursday, coach Josh Heupel didn’t discuss specifics of Calbert’s injury, but did say that he would miss an extended period of time:
Josh Heupel confirmed that #Vols OL K'Rojhn Calbert had surgery and will miss an "extended" period of time.
Another awful break for a really talented kid plagued by injuries since HS.

Calbert has appeared in 32 games for the Vols. He made 5 starts at right tackle in 2019 and has also seen playing time at guard.
Whether or not he’s able to return and contribute this fall remains to be seen.
