Josh Jacobs is not expected to be present for the start of Raiders training camp this week, according to a report.

Per the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Jacobs was seen boarding a flight out of Las Vegas on Monday morning. Per Pelissero, Jacobs has told people he doesn’t plan to return “anytime soon.”

The former Alabama running back was franchise-tagged this offseason, meaning he is effectively on a 1-year deal with more than $10 million. The Raiders and Jacobs were unable to come to an agreement on a longterm extension prior to the NFL’s deadline last week.

The former Alabama running back has established himself as one of the top running backs in the NFL. He led the league with 1,653 rushing yards last season.

However, even the NFL’s best running backs have found the market to be difficult this offseason. Former Alabama star Mark Ingram said this week that the league’s treatment of running backs is “highly unfortunate.”

The Raiders begin training camp on Tuesday. Their first preseason game is set for Aug. 13.
