Tennessee QB Joshua Dobbs spends Spring Break mentoring high school prospects

Many SEC football players would view Spring Break as the perfect time to get away from the rigors of spring practice and academics.
Maybe a trip to the beach, or at least a spot on the couch to watch some college hoops.
But Tennessee QB Joshua Dobbs isn’t most SEC football players.
Dobbs spent Sunday on the football field at Lanier High School in the Atlanta area, helping out at a regional event for The Opening camp.

Dobbs told SEC Country’s Dave Hooker that his participation is simply a way of giving back:
“It’s kind of weird because it feels like I was just here yesterday,” Dobbs said, referring to when he was a recruit. “It’s always great to come back. I have a great relationship with the coaching staff. I know all the QB’s coming back. I remember what it was like for me to have a guy that’s in college … to come back and talk.
“You come back and you’re showing support. The guys get a great kick out of. It’s always good to come back and give back to the game for sure.”
Oh yeah, and he’ll be back in class in Knoxville on Monday. The Vols resume spring practice this week.
