Sayin is the first Alabama commit to win MVP of the Elite 11 Finals since Tua Tagovailoa did so in 2016. Blake Barnett also took home the honor in 2014. Previous winners include current NFL quarterbacks such as CJ Stroud and Justin Fields.
He beat out other highly-touted quarterbacks for this honor such as Notre Dame commit CJ Carr, LSU commit Colin Hurley, Ohio State commit Air Noland and Florida commit DJ Lagway, amongst others.
Sayin has been committed to Alabama since November of 2022. He’s one of the top prospects in the country for the 2024 cycle, regardless of position.
He’s the No. 13 overall player and the No. 2 quarterback in the country, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
Sayin attends Carlsbad High School in Carlsbad, California. He’s listed at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds.
