Alabama has owned its rivalry against LSU in recent years, and one of the Crimson Tide’s all-time greats doesn’t see that trend stopping this year.
Julio Jones told reporters Thursday that he expects No. 1 Alabama to win big when it travels to face the No. 3 Tigers on Saturday night. The spread is large enough as it is with the Crimson Tide being a two-touchdown favorite, but the star Atlanta Falcons receiver thinks the final margin will be even larger.

Alabama has won nine of its last 11 games at LSU, including a streak of seven straight that will be on the line Saturday. Jones helped the Crimson Tide earn back-to-back wins in 2008-09 — which ended a run of five straight Tigers victories — before LSU claimed the next two games in the series.
The year after Jones graduated, the Tigers emerged victorious in the “Game of the Century” regular-season matchup between the SEC West rivals. But Alabama got revenge in a rematch in the BCS national championship game, which launched the program’s current winning streak.
Jones was surely going to pick the Crimson Tide no matter what, but it certainly doesn’t hurt that Alabama has several receivers who may follow in his footsteps to NFL stardom.
