Tennessee will be playing on Sunday, advancing to the SEC Tournament Championship Game with a win over Kentucky on Saturday.
In that win, it was the defense of the Volunteers that helped pave the way. When the horn finally blew at the end of the game, Kentucky had shot 2-for-20 from 3-point range and 34.4% from the field.
For the Vols, it was a strong outing from Kennedy Chandler that provided a big scoring punch. Chandler finished with 19 points on an 8-for-16 shooting game.
After the win, Chandler discussed the team’s mindset facing the Wildcats. He called facing Kentucky “just like any other game” with Tennessee hoping to play for something bigger down the road.

Uros Plavsic also admitted that the Vols like facing Kentucky. Despite losing the Wildcats in a blowout loss earlier in the year, Tennessee has responded with 2 straight wins over Kentucky to finish the year.
