Most Americans can relate to Kadyn Proctor in his love for doughnuts.

The monstrous Alabama offensive lineman has a specific affinity for Krispy Kreme’s prized possessions, and that has prompted Kalen DeBoer and his staff to name a set of plays in his honor.

Proctor notably went viral when he caught a screen pass and rumbled for roughly five yards against Georgia two weeks ago, as the 6-foot-7, 366 pound freak of nature showcased his surprising athleticism during the run.

Many fans were curious about the plays’ origins afterwards, and as Tuscaloosa News’ Colin Gay reported, the name of it stems directly from Proctor’s love of doughnuts.

“It’s Krispy, cause he said his nickname was Krispy Kreme,” Tide quarterback Ty Simpson explained. “It’s for all the doughnuts he eats…don’t tell him I said that.”

But while some would take offense to that label, Proctor is a fan.

The hulking junior lineman explained on SportsCenter that all ‘Krispy’ does is remind him of one of his favorite things.

“I”m really not too mad about it,” Proctor said. “When that ‘hot now’ sign is on, there ain’t nothing better than that bro.”

It remains to be seen how much more fans see ‘Krispy’ take to the field, as Proctor’s main gig of protecting Simpson will only get more and more important as this season wears on.

With that being said, a Krispy Kreme-related NIL deal is almost certainly in Proctor’s future.
