Headed to the SEC West: Nation’s No. 4 safety prospect Kaine Williams announces list of finalists
Louisiana native Kaine Williams is very close to making his final college decision.
While he may not yet know which school he will play for once his prep career at John Ehret High School in Marrero comes to an end, he knows which division he will be playing in when the time comes.
Williams announced on Monday that he’s down to just three schools — Alabama, LSU and Texas A&M. We can only imagine the recruiting battle taking place behind the scenes with those three schools involved with one of the nation’s top defensive back prospects.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Williams is rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 4 safety and a top 100 overall recruit in the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings. Williams’ most recent recruiting visit came on March 7 when he visited Tuscaloosa.
Heading into his senior season at John Ehret High School, Williams has registered 123 tackles, 10 pass breakups, 10 interceptions and four forced fumbles during his sophomore and junior seasons.
