Auburn’s depth on the offensive line has taken a hit leading up to the team’s upcoming Outback Bowl appearance against Minnesota as backup center Kaleb Kim will not play in the game.

Gus Malzahn announced that news on Friday during his most recent media availability.

Here’s what the Auburn coach had to say when asked if Kim had been ruled out for the game.

“Yeah, he is. He’s got the knee injury that he suffered against Samford, so he won’t be playing,”  Malzahn said in a video posted to YouTube by Auburn Athletics.

Kim, a redshirt senior, started the first eight games of the season for Auburn before being replaced in the starting lineup by Nick Brahms.
