Kalen DeBoer gives update on Jam Miller after he was spotted on crutches after Auburn game
Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer gave a brief update on injured running back Jam Miller on Saturday night.
Miller suffered a lower-leg injury in Alabama‘s 27-20 win over Auburn. He exited the game after rushing for 83 yards on 15 carries. DeBoer said he expects to have more information on Miller on Monday following a medical evaluation.
However, early indictions on Miller are not overly positive. He was spotted on the field after the game using crutches:
Miller has dealt with injuries this season. He missed the early part of the year due to a collar-bone injury he suffered in fall camp and did not make his season debut until the Georgia game on Sept. 27.
Despite that multi-game absence, Miller entered Week 14 as Alabama’s leading rusher with 410 yards on the season. The Crimson Tide have not found a reliable second option behind Miller, although Daniel Hill made a strong case on Saturday night against the Tigers. Hill finished the game with 39 yards on 11 carries.
Alabama has a busy week ahead. The Tide will face Georgia in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday in Atlanta.
