Kalen DeBoer insists ‘we’re all pissed off’ to Alabama fans on radio show
Anger and Alabama were two words that went together this past weekend.
From the Crimson Tide fans, to the coaches, to their players, frustration was abound following a humbling 31-17 loss to Florida State.
Yet as is common in the SEC, the most vocal about their frustrations were college football fans and specifically the Alabama faithful, who have been waiting to erupt on Kalen DeBoer ever since he dared take over for the legendary Nick Saban.
The temperature of DeBoer’s seat is hotter than a mid-July day in Tuscaloosa, but during his weekly radio appearance he did want to remind his fan base that despite their many grievances, the coaching staff is as angry as anybody.
Per Mike Rodak of Bama247, DeBoer detailed what he and his coaches have been feeling since the defeat in Tallahassee.
“We’re all pissed off about what happened Saturday. We are. Flat out, that’s what it is,” DeBoer said. “Starting with me, through our staff and to our team.”
The Crimson Tide will have a prime opportunity to vent those frustrations when they host Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday night. While the Warhawks did take down a Saban-led team in 2007, it would be difficult to imagine a club that was gutted by the transfer portal being able to contend with an Alabama squad that will be on a put-up or shut-up mission.
