Karl-Anthony Towns drops 60 points in Timberwolves’ 149-139 win over Spurs

Karl-Anthony Towns is one of the best scorers in the NBA. The former Kentucky big man was taken in the 2015 NBA Draft with the No. 1 overall pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves, and he’s lived up to expectations.
He won the NBA 3-point contest this year and, on Monday night, he went off against the San Antonio Spurs in a 149-139 win.
Towns scored 60 points, made 7 of his 11 3-pointers, grabbed 17 rebounds and dished out 3 assists. Here’s his long 3 that gave him 60 points:

Towns set the Timberwolves’ franchise record for points in a single game with that performance and ties for the second-most points against a Gregg Popovich-coached team:
