Louisville isn’t messing around this year.
The Cardinals added a commitment from former Arkansas wing Karter Knox on Wednesday, their 3rd commitment of the offseason thus far. Knox, who played at Arkansas in 2025 and 2026 and will retain 2 seasons of eligibility, missed February and March of this past season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus and entered the transfer portal following the Razorbacks’ Sweet 16 run.
The Cardinals were the early winners of the transfer portal even without Knox’s commitment. Pat Kelsey had already secured commitments from former Kansas center Flory Bidunga and Oregon guard Jackson Shelstad, looking to improve upon Louisville’s 24-11 record from last season.
Knox’s freaky athleticism and 6-6 frame will fit in perfectly with the additions Kelsey has already made, and it’ll allow Adrian Wooley to slide over to shooting guard assuming he returns to Louisville. After a run like this, it’s tough to imagine Louisville is done in the portal.
Knox added 8.1 points and 4.5 rebounds per game before being sidelined with the aforementioned meniscus injury. He’s a good 3-pooint shooter, hovering around 36% for his career at an average of about 3 attempts per game.
