Kayshon Boutte had his best game of the season last week against Florida with 6 catches for 115 yards, including a 40-yard catch in LSU’s 45-35 win over the Gators.

Boutte spoke with reporters on Tuesday and reflected on his season, the slow start, a new leadership role and the breakout game. Boutte said other players stepping up helped draw some defenders away from him, which gave him more space to deliver.

About the slow start, Boutte said he was getting anxious and frustrated, but his ankle has improved.

In terms of leadership, Boutte revealed that he spoke to the whole offense at halftime of the Florida game.
